Traveling is good, but traveling with tips from local people is much better. Here are the tips from my local friend from Amsterdam, Jan Looijmans.

Jan Looijmans
As always we will start by the hotels indicated by our guide of the time since the hotel has to be the first choice when you are going to mount a travel itinerary. He told us:
Andaz Amsterdam Prinsengracht – a concept by Hyatt
The hotel is located in the city and has suites decorated exclusively by designer Marcel Wanders. Among the services that the hotel offers are SPA, Wellness Center, babysitting and restaurant on site.
InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam
This hotel overlooks the river Amstel, making the suites with a privileged panoramic view. There you can also enjoy an on-site restaurant, health and wellness center and an indoor pool which also provides views of the river.
The Dylan Amsterdam
The Dylan is in the center of the city, which means ease to visit the main sights. At this boutique hotel, guests can count on massage services, spacious and luxurious suites designed by the famous Dutch designer, Remy Meijers, and gym.
Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam
Finally, Jan recommended the Waldorf. The most curious thing about this hotel is that it owns three historic palaces in Amsterdam, where guests enjoy a luxurious SPA, gym, indoor pool, sauna, and large and beautifully decorated accommodation.

Now we can choose the places to eat, right? Jan pointed us to the restaurant Librije’s zusje and the Japanese restaurant Yamazato. In addition to the bars: Ciel blue Bars, where there is a summer festival where people dance without tiring, according to him, the twenty tird bar, the Door74 and the famous among the venues, Vesper Bar.

As in a trip cannot miss that moment of tanning, he left us the indications also of the best-attended ballads.
In order to enjoy the evening, he proposed to start with a heater in Soho house or in the W lounge and then leave for nightclub Marktkantine De school.
And since during the day the tour has to be another, how about knowing a little of the sights of Amsterdam? Jan recommended us the Stedelijk, Van Gogh, Rijks museum, Van loon museum and Foam museums.
