Monte Carlo Grand Prix Week

This week begins the biggest bustle in the city of Monte Carlo, the peak season of the venue takes place during the Grand Prix, or more known as F1.

Monte Carlo is the host city of the most anticipated race championship of the year all over the world, it is there where the most important race of the prize takes place.

This event attracts thousands of people from all over the world, lovers of Formula 1 racing and cinema, as the very long awaited Cannes Film Festival is taking place in the same week. With this, the city is full of parties and events, which makes this week the best to visit Monte Carlo, as I see it.

These festivities attract everything from celebrity celebrities and people who just like the championship and usually take place in the luxurious hotels and yachts that lie at the Monte Carlo Marina and even in the stunning, traditional casino of Monaco.

With all this happening, it is always good to leave your reservation made in your favorite hotels and restaurants to mark the best parties and have the best trip to Monte Carlo of your life. The festivities take place this week, but the festival is going on from the 14th until the 25th of May, so there is still time to run and participate in all this fun.

Leave it here in the comments if you plan to go to any of these events this year and, if it was already in some, your experience.

The best hotels to stay in Monaco

Choosing the best hotel to stay when you are traveling may seem like a challenge, but I came here to help you today by indicating my favorite hotels in Monaco, which coincidentally is my favorite destination as well.

Of my favorites, without a doubt what I love most is the Le Méridien Beach Plaza.

I like this hotel because it has a jovial vibe and is the only one in Monte Carlo that has a private beach and a view of the sea that already pays the whole trip. The hotel also offers indoor and outdoor pools, a gym, a number of 24-hour bars and restaurants and a beauty salon.

  • Hotel de Paris

The Hotel de Paris next to the most famous casino in Monte-Carlo has already had one of its restaurants quoted here on the blog.

The venue offers guests free passes to the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo SPA, a wine cellar, a piano bar and two restaurants that allow the view of the Casino square.

  • Fairmont Hotel

This hotel I point out to Formula 1 fans and racing in general. The Fairmont has a terrace with a privileged view of the Monaco circuit, as well as an outdoor pool, 4 restaurants and bars, a shopping center, a casino, a hairdressing salon, a gym, and a spa.

The Fairmont also provides shuttle service to the three nearest beaches.

  • Metrópole Monte Carlo Hotel

The highlight of the hotel is the decor, made by Jacques Garcia, and architecture. I think it’s beautiful how modern and classic are well matched.

At the Metropole guests enjoy three restaurants, relaxing days at the SPA House of Givenchy and outdoor space with heated pool with sea water. In addition, there is a pool house available.

  • Hermitage Monte Carlo Hotel

The hotel itself is considered to be Monaco’s historical monument, as it sits in an old Palace of the country. And not to lose its roots the Hermitage is decorated in Belle Époque style.

At the Hermitage, you can enjoy services at the hotel’s five-star SPA, two bars, where vintage wines and the finest Monaco drinks, a restaurant, and a gym are served.

  • Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort

Last but not least, I point out this resort located on the peninsula of Larvotto for those who want a bit calmer and relaxation on their trip.

At Monte Carlo Bay you will relax in one of the best SPAs you have ever been to and you can also enjoy the outdoor pool, the games room, the various on-site restaurants, and the gym. There is also a kids’ club for children to enjoy during the family trip.

Today I’m going to talk about one of my favorite cities in the World, which I go to frequently, and share with you some of my favorite restaurants.

Best Dining and Hot Spot

  • Sass Café
Sass Café. 11 Avenue Princesse Grace, Monte-Carlo 98000 Mônaco

When I want to dine and look for a more lively place, the Sass Café restaurant is always on one of my first options, there are served very appetizing dishes of French gastronomy.

Although the atmosphere is not the most elegant, the place is well frequented and has a small dance floor, which makes it an ideal place for a hot dinner.

  • Coya
Coya restaurant. 26 Avenue Princesse Grace Coya, Monte-Carlo 98000 Mônaco

Another place that I love, not only in Monaco but anywhere in the world, is the Coya restaurant and the Monte Carlo restaurant, in particular, it has a super sophisticated ambiance and a view that is worth going to the place to dine and to warm up.

And for being the Coya, I do not even need to mention the quality of the Peruvian cuisine they offer, so do not miss it.

  • Buddha Bar
Buddha Bar Monte Carlo. Place du Casino, 98000, Mônaco.

The Buddha Bar Monte Carlo is incredible and super stylish. The location is located between the Fairmont Hotel and the Monte Carlo Casino.

Its architecture looks more like an old palace with rather exotic Asian touches and, unlike some other Buddha bars that only have the restaurant, this one has a ballad on the first floor next to the bar and in the mezzanine the restaurant.

  • Café de Paris
Café de Paris. Place Du Casino, Monte-Carlo 98000 Mônaco

Located in the iconic Casino de Monte Carlo, Café de Paris restaurant is among one of the must-see stops for anyone visiting the city.

The architecture and decor of the restaurant follow the Belle Époque style of 1900, which brings that vintage air from arrival to the coffee exit. The place is perfect for a hot sprinkled one of the best Parisian bistros in Monte Carlo.

  • Cipriani Monte Carlo
Cipriani Monte Carlo. 1 Avenue Princesse Grace Monte Carlo, 98000

The Italian restaurant owner of the best pasta I have ever experienced could not miss this list.

In Monte Carlo, the Cipriani is located in the center and it becomes a great restaurant to do the heat for being very close to the most popular places in the city.

  • Le Louis XV Alain Ducasse
Le Louis XV, by Alain Ducasse. Place du Casino, 98000 Monaco, Mônaco

Obviously on my list could not miss the spot of my friend and boss to whom I have the greatest admiration, Alain Ducasse. Located in the Hotel de Paris the place is world renowned for its high gastronomy and occupies a prominent place among the best restaurants in the world.

  • Nobu Monte Carlo
Nobu Monte Carlo. 12 Avenue des Spélugues, 98000 Monaco, Mônaco

The Nobu of Monte Carlo is another one of those restaurants that only the view is already worth the visit. The restaurant has an incredible view of the sea and, besides serving wonderful Japanese cuisine like all the Nobus I’ve indicated here, this serves more than good drinks and has a cool atmosphere, perfect for the hot.

  • Joel Rebouchon Monte Carlo
Joel Robuchon. 4 Avenue de La Madone Bp 19, Monte-Carlo 98000 Mônaco

Located in the Hotel Metropole MC, this French cuisine restaurant surprises me every time, as it NEVER loses its quality.

The dishes served are exceptional and the atmosphere is very luxurious, as well as being very well frequented.

Best places to have lunch

  • Horizon Deck Restaurant e Champagne
Horizon Deck restaurant and Champange. 12 Avenue des Spélugues, 98000 Monaco, Mônaco

Inside the Fairmont Hotel in Monte Carlo, you will find this magnificent restaurant that serves from lunch to dinner in front of a glimpse of the sea.

The Horizon Deck Restaurant serves French cuisine and also has a champagne bar that you can not miss.

  • La Marée Monaco
La Marée. 7 Avenue President J.F. Kennedy Roof of the Hotel Port Palace, Monte-Carlo 98000 Mônaco

The name says it all! La Marée is a restaurant in front of the Monte Carlo Marina serving seafood and dishes that blend well with the techniques and ingredients of French and Mediterranean cuisine.

It is the perfect place for a quiet lunch.

  • Bar Restaurant L’ Express
L’Express Restaurant and Bar. 22 Rue Du Comte Felix Gastaldi, Monaco-Ville 98000 Mônaco

This is not the most luxurious option after all L’Express is located in a villa in the city and is a small restaurant. But it has a very pleasant atmosphere and a great service.

L’Express offers you the main Italian cuisine, but there are also French options on the menu. It’s the perfect place for lunch on an explorer’s day.

  • Les Perles de Monte Carlo
Les Perles de Monte Carlo. Quai Jean-Charles-Rey Port de Fontvielle, Monaco-Ville 98000 Mônaco

Lastly, this restaurant is a find at the end of the port pier of Fontvieille.

The Les Perles serves seafood in a very yummy setting, nothing fancy but cozy and beautiful.

It is well worth having lunch there after a stroll through the harbor.

I hope you have enjoyed it and enjoy the tips and if you have already been to Monte Carlo, share with me here your tips and suggestions!
