Traveling is good, but traveling with tips from local people is much better. Here are the tips from my local friend from Mexico City.
Memo Salina. @memosalinas7
Let’s start with the hotel indication:
His favorites, like mine, are the Four Seasons Hotel and the St. Regis. The two are listed on my list of where to stay in Mexico City.
They are wonderful luxury hotels in the Mexican capital, both very well located in privileged regions.

You are waiting to know where you were well during your trip. For this, the Memo Salinas recommended the Rokai.

One of the city’s best rated Japanese cuisine restaurants, it offers a very good lunch and dinner!
No one likes to stay in the hotel during the night every day of the trip, so our guide of the time stated obligatory stop the nightclubs: 3 Nightlife and Dinsmoor.
Dinsmoor. Photo: Google
Dinsmoor is one of the most exclusive ballads in the City. Its sophisticated atmosphere makes the nightclub very well evaluated. The music can range from electronic to house music.
To finalize this guide with a golden key, the last tip is of a tourist point not to be missed: Chapultepec Palace.

Also already indicated in my list of places to go in Mexico City, the Palace is one of the most famous architectures of Mexico and is surrounded by a spectacular garden.

And be sure to share it to compete for a trip to the Maldives.
The first doubt that arises when we travel is where to stay, not only in a hotel but also the city. Here are some tips for those who want to go to Mexico City, but still have this doubt.
1. Polanco District
If you’re looking for hype and sophistication, this is the perfect neighborhood for you.
At the Polanco, you will find the best bars and ballads, such as 1 OAK, a branch of a NEW York night house. It is very possible to cross with celebrities and important people belonging to the Mexican High Society since the neighborhood is the residence of these figures.
But If you prefer a restaurant, or something more like shopping, there you also have the option of the best shops and the best places to eat in the city.
The best hotels in the region and I indicate are:
– Hotel St. Regis

A luxurious and comfortable place to stay. The St. Regis offers an indoor pool, three gourmet restaurants, and first-class rooms.

This luxurious hotel you can enjoy a relaxing day at the spa or whatever/whenever services that offer everything you can imagine.
– Four Seasons

The Contemporary Hotel offers a 24-hour concierge service. Staying there you can enjoy the well-equipped gym and outdoor swimming pool and, after a busy day, who knows how to relax in the whirlpool or sauna.
For those looking for a more intimate environment, the Polanco also offers boutique hotels, which are super indicative, such as the Hotel Habita and the Dominion Polanco.

2. Countess District
If your style is more good vibes, the Countess is the perfect place. Considered the chic hipster area of the city, the neighborhood is full of pubs and local brands to have fun.
The best hotels in the area are:
– Countness DF

A luxurious hotel that offers comfortable rooms and, in some units, a living room. The Countess DF also has a rooftop bar and a cinema room for those who enjoy it.
– Laredo 18

Another great option, in this case, the apartments have even a kitchen equipped with a microwave and a terrace that allows a breathtaking view.
3. Historical Center
The name already says on its own, in the center are located historical landmarks of the city, as the Metropolitan Cathedral, but it becomes away from the bars and the coolest ballads, which are in noble areas.
I Recommend the Hotel Downtown, located in the region, for those who have more explorer instinct and want to know the city center.

The Downtown is located in a 17TH-century palace that has been restored and transformed into one of the most elegant design hotels in the city. The accommodation, as elegant as the outdoor area, has high ceilings and tiled floors. The Hotel also has a bar with a terrace where you can see the city.
Another incredible option of a place to stay is the Hotel Marquis Reforma. The Hotel is located on Paseo de la Reforma Avenue, one of the main and most famous in Mexico City. At the Marquis, you have a luxurious setting and an incredible spa, plus have your comfortable accommodation overlooking the garden of Chapultepec Castle.
A handy guide to places to visit in the main Mexican city
There is a lot to do in Mexico
City, which makes someone look confused when they are going to set up the
itinerary of the trip days, so I leave here what my perfect day would be like,
visiting the best places in the city.
• Shower
It would start very early walking along the Reforma, the long and famous avenue downtown. La can be found in the charming castle of Chapultepec, one of the main tourist sights. The castle is immense, has a beautiful garden and provides a good view of the city.

Straight ahead you come across the Tamoyos Museum, which has a great coffee shop, and the Museum of Modern Art, which can not be missed. Nearby is also located the Hotel Downtown, quoted on my list of places to stay.
Another morning tour option is the Teotihuacan Temple of the Sun, which is housed in a complex of historic pyramids, one of which is the third largest in the world. The place is usually warmer than the rest of Mexico City so it’s important to always be well prepared.

• Evening
The afternoon starts with a good lunch at the Loma Linda restaurant, a large steakhouse opposite the beautiful Soumaya Museum. The place is known for its contemporary architecture.

Jumex Museum of Contemporary Art. Photo: Google
And speaking contemporaneously, next to the Soumaya is the Jumex, a museum of contemporary rotating art. The two museums, one next to the other, form one of the most beautiful blocks of Mexico City.
Now, if you are a fan of photography and architecture you can also do a tour of the National Cineteca and Torre Palmas 55. Both places are incredible.

Museum of Frida Kahlo. Photo: Google
And if what you love is history, besides doing the tours already mentioned, nothing better than a night in the historic center, where you can explore landmarks of the city such as the Frida Kahlo Museum, Zócalo, and the wonderful Opera House.
• Night

The nightlife of the city is really very attractive, there are good ballads and bars for those who do not give up closing the script with a touch, but my night would end more calm, in some rooftop in Polanco or There Rome. Or probably in one of the restaurants already mentioned in the previous post, where I point out the best restaurants, in my opinion, of the city.
I had the opportunity to stay at Condesa DF during my last trip to Mexico and I did not regret it. The Condesa is located in the neighborhood of Condesa, one of the most trendy neighborhoods of the city and very close to Polanco, the noble neighborhood of the place.

Belonging to the group, owner of the most luxurious and exquisite hotels in the world such as The Habita Hotel and The Robey Chicago, this hotel does not leave anything to be desired in its modern architecture and decoration as in the services they offer.
Inside is a total redesign and very cool. Mexican architect Javier Sanchez and French designer India Mahdavi have conspired to create 40 beautiful rooms on three floors.

The property also has a huge terrace on the roof where one of the most trendy bars of this region is located. Offering elaborate cocktails and delicious Japanese food, the famous Condesa DF terrace is frequented by local artists, socialites, and bigwigs until the small hours.

There is also a cinema in the basement that offers art films on weekends and an underground disco that rings well after midnight. That’s my tip for anyone going to Mexico City.
I would highly recommend the stay at Condesa DF, there for sure you will be very well received and will have an unforgettable experience.

Already been there? Leave in the comments what you think!
The St Regis in Mexico City, voted the best hotel in the city, is
located on Av Paseo de la Reforma, neighborhood Colonia Cauahtemoc. One of the
most important avenues of the city, is 12km away and was named after the
important political changes that occurred in the city.
The hotel is very well located, close to the most famous sights of the
Mexican city. They are only four blocks separating the Hotel from the
Chapultepec castle, Tamoyos museum, museum of modern art and squares that
surround the Reformation.
Around the hotel you can find many highly reputed bars and restaurants,
shops and also many attractions, such as the monument Angél de la Independence.
Besides the tower with more than 46 m in height, where it is possible to see
the whole avenue from the top.
The St Regis Hotel is one of the most beautiful architectures the city has, as well as being an extremely tall and colorful building. For it is practically all built in glass.
With impeccable interior, everything designed to make you feel at home, comfortable and have all the luxury you need in one place. It is a wonderful hotel, both outside and inside. Not the will to leave!
In addition to all the comfort, your pet is allowed. That is, you do not have to leave your furry at home to enjoy the holidays, he can go with you. It has all the necessary support your pet needs while there.
Service is impeccable. Everyone here is very attentive and every day I came across chocolate bars and pampering on my pillow.
There are three choices of rooms, deluxe with a king size bed, deluxe with two queen beds and also the bedroom with a king size bed. They are more or less the same standard, with beds, TV, sofas and also a table for work. Also, the louder, the more wonderful the view you will get from the entire city. The rooms are extremely comfortable and have everything you need within reach.
All are carpeted, to make the environment even more cozy and warm on cold days.
At the hotel itself you will find the complete spa service with relaxing massages, drainage and everything else you need to fully relax. The spa staff is very friendly, always ready to greet you with the best smile and care you can imagine.
Next to the spa you will also find the fitness center, so you do not have to worry about your body when eating at all the wonderful restaurants. The gym is large and has very new equipment, very well maintained and complete for you to train well.
And you will need the gym because inside the hotel you can enjoy restaurants that are open for lunch and dinner. Some need specific attire, such as the French for formal attire. It is important to remember to make reservations before going to these restaurants, to ensure all comfort and convenience. They are restaurants with impeccable and delicious meals!
And finally has a very nice leisure area, with swimming pool so you can attend both on hot days and cold days. Because the pool also possesses the possibility of lukewarm water for the days that are colder, so you can enjoy it all the time, not just on very hot days.
