Each of the seven oversized rooms has an open tropical feel and comes with wood-beamed ceilings, cunning touches like bedspreads designed from dress labels and balconies that look out onto the inner courtyards of the tile roofs and flowering terraces of the Historic center.

In contrast to the white of the hotel, the reddish bricks are strategically placed. The area boasts four sparkling pools and a dramatic vertical garden with over 3,000 native plants covering the entire side of the property.

The city of Bogota, by local people

Traveling is good, but traveling with tips from local people is much better. See the tips below from my local friend from Bogotá, Pedro Gómez.

The first point is to decide the hotels, so he indicated us the best ones to see, which are the Click clack, Four Seasons, JW Marriott, Opera Hotel.

Click Clack is a hotel located only 10 minutes from the T-zone of the city. There you can enjoy a comfortable stay with meals right overlooking the beautiful city in the restaurant Ciengramos on the terrace of the hotel.

The Four Seasons, always very indicated here in the blog, is 500 meters from the shopping malls Andino and El Retiro. The hotel offers minimalist rooms, a Spa, a gym and two wonderful restaurants.

Now that you know where to stay, we have to choose the best places to eat, so our local guide told us about his favorite restaurants. And these are the Brasserie, which serves French cuisine. Osaka, which mixes Japanese and Peruvian cuisine in their dishes. Andres Carne de Res, a restaurant and pub serving Latino dishes. The Second, which serves contemporary dishes accompanied by the best wines. El Bandido Bistrot, a French bistro with vegan and vegetarian options. and Cantina y punto, a restaurant frequented by locals serving Mexican food.

As on a trip can’t miss that moment of tanning, especially night tanning, Pedro gave us the indications of bars and ballads: Andres Carne de Res, which was already quoted above as a pub and restaurant very well frequented and serves great dishes. The Ghetto, bar and nightclub. Armando Records, one of the most famous ballads in the city. O El Coq, bar. And El Fabuloso, one of the best nightclubs in Bogota.

To visit during the day, our local guide recommended three tourist attractions: The Gold Museum, the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira and Monserrate.

Meet the Vibrant City of Guatapé, Colombia

Guatapé is an Andean beach town in northwestern Colombia, known for its vast natural reservoir and the famous Pedra del Peñol.

The graceful town of Guatapé, known for its colorful houses and neoclassical architecture, is just a village near Medellín with very few inhabitants, but for its charm many tourists who seek to know a little more of the traditional customs of Colombia.

The color of the city is given by the cheerful paintings on the walls in a technique with reliefs, the known sockets, that permeate the city since the century. XX, which made the residents there known as Pueblo de Zócalos.

The city offers some attractions besides the Zócalos, among them boat trips and, most famously, the ascent in the stone El Peñol.

El Peñol is a giant granite rock southwest of the 220-meter-high city that, from the top, provides a panoramic view of the city and the artificial dam that surrounds it, but there are 650 tiresome steps up to where it is possible to enjoy the view, which is worth without any doubts!
