Located a few steps from the Louvre and in one of the oldest buildings in Paris, is a minimalist hotel that brings luxury and history behind its doors: The Hoxton Hotel Paris.
I had the privilege of knowing this place and came here today to share my impressions about the hotel. Starting with the location that, as quoted above, is great. The Hoxton is very close to the Louvre Museum, the Jardin des Tuileries and the beautiful streets of Le Marais. The entire tour of this area of Paris can be done on foot and in my opinion, this is one of the biggest advantages of staying at Hoxton, so you do not have to worry about taxi or subway to get to the sites.
In addition, the streets surrounding the hotel are very lively and trendy during the night. By day you can go to the local boutiques, restaurants and Parisian markets and at night, the streets become the scene of the French trend in the bistros.
Hoxton has three areas where you can eat and drink good drinks: the hotel’s lobby where you can cross over with a sit-down coffee or drink, Rivié restaurant serving traditional French dishes and Jacque’s Bar, a more intimate area of the hotel. The cool thing is that the hotel itself guarantees the tanning since at night becomes a cool point to drink to the sound of songs played by invited Djs.
All 172 accommodations, four different sizes, of the Hoxton are composed of luxurious decorations and pampering essential for a good stay, such as breakfasts left every day in the room. The architecture and decoration, both general and the rooms, of the hotel, are classic, but with the renovations, they have gained a contemporary touch. The building was built in the 18th century and, therefore, the original architecture was retained and this is used to attract guests who are looking for more charm.
Because it is a small hotel, it does not offer so many services but I assure you that it is worth to stay there for as long as you want to explore this side of the city.
